As a certified PADI Open Water Diver you have the freedom to dive with a buddy independent of a professional. If you already tried a PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience or are PADI Scuba Diver certified, check with your instructor to see how credit from these courses may apply to the open water program. You can view these materials at home, at your own pace and then 
meet with an instructor for further assistance. Open water learning options also include group or private instruction. This course offers tremendous flexibility and lets you work out individual needs with your instructor. Virtually anyone who is in good health, reasonably fit, and comfortable in the water can earn a PADI Open Water Diver certification. At some point in the course, your Dixie Divers PADI Instructor will ask you to demonstrate the ability to swim 200 meters /yards without swim aids or 300 meters /yards with mask, fins and snorkel and complete a bit of paperwork, to get you on your way. If you are between 10 and 14 or have a child between these ages, there is a PADI Junior Open Water Diver program available.

Learning to dive is a great value when you consider that our PADI Instructors are a highly trained and experienced professional. Invest in scuba diving lessons and learn something you'll enjoy the rest of your life. From the first day, diving starts transforming your life with new experiences you share with friends. And, you can do it almost anywhere there is water. - OPEN WATER CLASSES: ONLY $299.00 PLUS BOOKS, WITH BOOKS INCLUDED ONLY $350.00. This standard class is held on Tuesday night from 6pm to 8:30 pm where you will go over the first three modules of the home study books. On Thursday from 6pm to 8pm you will go to the pool and do the first three confined water modules if you meet your performance requirements for the pool sessions in our very own pool here at Dixie Divers, then you will do your first two ocean dives on Saturday from our boat Lady Go Diver , location will be depending on conditions. If you don't feel ready for the dives or feel you need more practice at any of the skills you can simply skip the Saturday dive and finish the rest of the confined water work the second week of class and dive on Saturday and Sunday. The only way that we can do this course in 2 weeks is if you, the future diver, sign up for a class, and pick up the materials (books and video) and complete the first three knowledge reviews found at the end of each section. All you need for gear is a mask snorkel and fins and weight belt with weight we provide the rest. Classes start every week so if your schedule means you might miss a class don't worry we don't charge to reschedule your class we will just roll you into the next class starting so you can learn at your own pace. We start Classes every Tuesday. - DIXIE DIVERS SPECIAL: $199.00 OPEN WATER CLASS PLUS BOOKS If you don't have the required equipment then we have good news buy it from us and we will save you on standard class $100.00 bucks! To be eligible for a $199.00 class the student must buy mask, snorkel, fins, weight belt/weight, dive bag, dive compass and dive knife from us, Dixie Divers of Deerfield Beach, otherwise the class will cost the regular price. Weekend classes we be discounted to $299.00. - WEEKEND SCUBA: ONLY $399.00 PLUS BOOKS Weekend scuba is an accelerated course for those who have their home study books and have completed all the knowledge reviews at the end of each section. Class will be Saturday from 1:30pm to 6pm so bring your books with the completed knowledge reviews and everything you have for the pool. We will go over the first three modules of the book then go to our on premise pool and do the first three modules of the confined water work. Pass all your performance requirements and we will dive on Sunday from 8am till 12:30pm. The second weekend we will go over modules 4 and 5 book and pool session and finish with 2 great boat dives off the sunny Florida coast. That's it just 2 weekends and you will earn the PADI Open Water Diver Certification. We start weekend classes every Saturday. Call us now, you can start diving this weekend. - PRIVATE CLASSES $479.00 PLUS BOOKS We are offered for all levels but for the beginner who is nervous one on one training from a professional instructor at a schedule of your choosing can make this class a true once in a lifetime experience! Course cost $489.00 for one, $449.00 for two or $399.00 three students, plus books. - NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC DIVER consists of an additional two dives after you finish the Open Water Diver course where we will learn more about PADI and National Geographic, the aquatic realm and demonstrate above average buoyancy control. You will also complete an Exploration Project that you will decide on with your instructor and navigate in different Patterns. Course cost $ 399.00 plus Books. If you are already a diver it will be $ 149.00. Private Class $499.00 - REAL SCUBA: ONLY $498.00 SAVE $100.00 REAL SCUBA is an acronym for realistic entry advanced level SCUBA. Sign up for both your
basic SCUBA class and Advanced class, and addition to saving some money, you will receive additional experience in night diving, deep diving , wreck diving and navigation, and any of a myriad of specialties like drift, photography, hunting, search and recovery or others. With 9 dives in 2 weekends, you will definitively familiarize yourself with the variety of diving we are so fortunate to have here in south Florida.
